Lorenzo was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1990, he was raised and currently lives in this city. He established a deep bond with music from an early age, being exposed to a wide variety of rhythms and sounds, extending from Mexican and Cuban boleros to traditional Colombian rhythms, 60s Rock n' Roll, Folk, and Classical music. He studied Jazz guitar at the Universidad Javeriana and transferred to the New England Conservatory in Boston where he graduated with honors in 2015 completing a BFA in Jazz Composition. At NEC, Lorenzo Studied with notable composers such as Ran Blake, Frank Carlberg, Ken Shaphorst, and John Hollenbeck, who nurtured his craft and artistic vision.
He currently works as a singer/songwriter writing, recording and performing under the name Lucas Hill, and composing for film, theatre, and media in Bogotá and abroad. Lorenzo writes commissioned and personal works for various ensembles, ranging from big bands to string quartets, and experimental ensembles.
